At the heart of the Louvre collections, two exceptional evenings with choreographer Fouad Boussouf
A co-production of the Louvre Museum and the Paris l'été festival
During these two unique evenings at the Louvre for the opening of the Paris Summer Festival, you are invited to step back in time by visiting the Denon Wing. At the end of a course that ends under the Pyramid, where you will attend a live body performance performed by electrifying dancers!
Conceived by choreographer Fouad Boussouf as "an ode to the joy and urgency of being together, HAPPY is told as a celebration of this reunion, a celebration of humanity, of people of heart and flesh. "An emerging reference in contemporary dance, Fouad Boussouf generously mixes styles, rhythms, influences and draws on hip-hop culture, contemporary dance, but also traditional dances and music from his country of origin, Morocco.
With HAPPY, the choreographer responds to the imperative need to bring bodies together in a telluric and timeless trance, inspired by the works of the permanent collections of the Louvre. Through an eruptive dance to electro-percussive music, 15 exceptional dancers summon a communicative emotion, in vibration with the present time and our heterogeneous and mixed heritage.
