In this theatrical and musical show, Claire Diterzi reinvents the life of Tassadite. Born in 1932 in Toudja in Kabylie, Tassadite, freshly married, landed at Le Bourget in 1955. In 2005, her neighbor in Ivry-sur-Seine offered her to write a book on everything she had experienced. The result is a poignant testimony to Algerian immigration, that of a generation that was torn from its country and its people. Claire Diterzi takes hold of this story.

To the poetic and mischievous words of the old woman embodied by the actress Saadia Bentaïeb, she responds with songs whose melodies mingle with the sounds of traditional music. A musical crossbreeding inspired by life stories, that of Tassadite, but also others anonymous. Journeys that embody the great questions of our time on the place of women, the place of the father, emancipation, tolerance or even the link with family and nature.

On stage, a setting of projections invites you to travel and offers Claire Diterzi the opportunity to come back to an unknown part of her identity: her Kabyle origin by her father. Tassadite's life echoes his own story. Accompanied by an actress and three musicians, she delivers a piece that is all the more intimate and moving, at the crossroads of musical genres and disciplines. A musical hybridization that has always been its beautiful trademark.

In the press

A musical mix for which she draws inspiration from life stories that echo her own story - Claire Diterzi being of Kabyle origin through her father - in order to raise current questions on the place of women, the place of the father, the emancipation, tolerance or connection with family and nature.
