Duo Miral pervades us with an invitation for travel, for encounter, and a fusion of cultural influences. The young musicians draw inspiration from an infinite variety of styles. Borrowing sometimes from oriental melodies, sometimes from gipsy, sega and jazzy sounds, they do not shy away from mixing rhythms and cultures. With a soft but powerful voice, the Syrian-Lebanese Climène Zarkan sings in Arabic, French and Creole. With a variety of percussion instruments, she complements the sensitive and masterful jazz melodies played by Baptiste Ferrandis on the guitar. Together, they come up with a sound of their own, which embraces the cultural richness of the world.
