PERFORMANCE

LA TRANSUMANTE

JOHANN LE GUILLERM

Le 16 juillet en continu de 18h à minuit - Esplanade entre le Musée d'Art Moderne et le Palais de Tokyo • Paris 16ème

Length: 6H

FREE

A circus artist, equilibrist, inventor and objects manipulator, Johann Le Guillerm displays, over the years, a unique work.

160 wooden blocks of 3 meters in length, 10 manipulators and a master builder: Johann Le Guillerm, at the opening of the festival, will give life to a wooden creature that will start new mutations at each hour.

No nails, no screws, no ropes : the simple pressure of the wooden squares against each other holds the assembled work.

Both solid and fragile, the work comes alive as it changes. It can reach 200 square meters on ground and climb up to four meters !

In partnership with Musée d’Art Moderne and Palais de Tokyo

« Johann Le Guillerm is a wonderful circus artist, and even more. He explores the laws of physics, seeking weak balance, playing with materials : he is fascinating and disturbing. » Stéphanie Barioz, Télérama
