ORIGINAL CREATION FOR THE PARIS 2024 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC GAMES
With the Olympic Games coming up in a few days, Paris l'été could not pass up the opportunity to celebrate the links that have united art and sport since the dawn of time. The Podium project is the beating heart of the festival, with sixty athletes taking part. To pull off such a feat required the talent and audacity of choreographer Olivier Dubois, whose taste for endurance and excess is well known. Preferring the idea of the ritual of ancestral games, which favours relationships over competition and unites individuals in a collective gesture, Olivier Dubois intends to celebrate communion and shared pleasure in an unforgettable artistic adventure. To do so, he has chosen three Olympic sports for their theatricality: boxing or the art of dodging, rhythmic gymnastics or the art of contortion, and roller skating or the art of urban sliding... Olympism in celebration!
Distribution
Podium was created collectively by Jean-Yves Phuong, Léa Deschaintres, Matteo Lochu, Nicola Manzoni, Aurélie Mouilhade, Aimée Lagrange and Olivier Dubois.

Podium is supported by the Regional Direction of Cultural Affairs of Île-de-France - Ministry of Culture.
