Attention: the Marina Otero phenomenon is coming to the Lycée Jacques Decour! “I imagined that I would always take center stage, like a heroine who would take revenge on everyone and everything. But my body did not follow in the face of such battles. Today, I give up my place to the interpreters. I will watch them lend their bodies to my narcissistic cause. »
The performers that Marina Otero talks about are men. Five dancers who surround her and give their all, even stripping completely in a movement of explosive and daring generosity. Choreographer, dancer and performer, icon of the Argentinian alternative scene, Marina Otero continues, with Fuck Me, the construction of an endless work on her own existence. A work that bases its research on an “I” conceived as one of the basic materials of the set, on the travesty of reality and the transformation of the ego into an act of abandonment to the other.
Pushing back the boundaries that separate documentary and fiction, dance and performance, accident and representation, Fuck Me auscultates, in an extremely virile dance, the notion of passing time and the stigmata that the body retains. Never has the present seemed so close to defeating the resurgences of the past. A show of explosive sincerity and radiant irreverence.
