Come vibrate with the rhythm of the mighty Taïko, an ancient drum rooted in Japanese culture which goes along with festivals, traditional rituals and dances.
Away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, the artists from KODO troupe (which means « heartbeat », but also « children of the drum ») have been living in a community on Sado Island, in the Sea of Japan, for forty years. Day and night, they explore the inexhaustible potential of Taïko, thus pleading for harmony with nature and conceiving their music as a return to the origins of life.
This scenic event, of great strength and beauty, allows to discover KODO's repertoire, as well as new works developed in collaboration with young musicians.
